Greene Hills offers a 25 meter pool boasting both a diving board and a slide. Fun for the whole family!  There is also a wading pool available for younger members. All Greene Hills lifeguards are Red Cross certified and remain on duty during all business hours.

The Pool Area is open to members and guests from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day each year.  During swim season, pool staff may be contacted by calling the pool deck area at (434) 985-7328.

To be left unaccompanied inside the pool area fence or in the diving area, all children under the age of 13 must pass a swimming proficiency test.

Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a person 13 years of age or older whose custody they remain in at all times. Those acting as caregivers may purchase a monthly caregiver's pass for per month. Caregiver passes are available in the Golf Shop during the pool season (May-September.)

Pool Guest Fees: per weekday guest/ per weekend guest. Guests may only use the pool 2 times per month. Caregiver Pass: per month. Immediate family (parent, brother, sister) cannot be considered as caregivers.

Friday-Saturday | 10:00 am - 8:00 p.m.

The pool closes at 3:00 p.m. on days that the Greene Hills Gators host JSL swim meets.
Inclement Weather Policy

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Jefferson League has canceled all events related to the swim team for the 2020 season.

Coaching Staff

Patrick Kibler, Head Coach

Under the direction of head coach, Patrick Kibler, Greene Hills Swim Club looks forward to another exciting season of fun and friendly competition. Patrick will rejoin the Greene Hills Team for his 12th year of coaching and his 4th as Head Coach at Greene Hills. Patrick has also coached for the William Monroe High School Swim Team. He began his swimming career at age 5 and swam for the Gators under former Coach Chris Taylor from age 5 to 18, placing top 3 in the league. Patrick continues to be a record holder at the Club. He was also a Jefferson District High School Champion and Virginia State High School finalist in breaststroke, freestyle, and IM and a WMHS record holder in several events. After high school, Patrick continued his career in swimming at UVA on its club team. He and his wife, Sylvia, currently have 5 children and live in Stanardsville. He currently works with his wife, Sylvia, as a photographer.

Tim Kibler, Assistant Coach

Assistant coach, Tim Kibler, will rejoin the Greene Hills coaching staff for his third year. He is excited to be back with the Gators, where he, too, was an outstanding swimmer for Greene Hills for over 10 years during his youth. Tim graduated from JMU and currently works as an occupational therapist at UVA.

Everyone at Greene Hills is excited to have all of these coaches back for the season. They all bring their excellent swimming experiences, instruction, and enthusiasm to the Gators!

  • Evening practices are held Monday through Thursday except meet nights.
  • Morning practices will be Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
  • PM Group Clarification: White and Green Groups stretch at 6:50, and they get in the water at 7:00. Silver and Gold stretch/dryland begin at 7:25, and they get in the water at 7:40.

2020 GHG Swim Meets

  • There will be a sign out sheet for meets placed on the pool bulletin board. It is important to sign out if you are absolutely sure that you won't be able to attend the meet.
  • Swimmers should arrive at Greene Hills for Home Meets by 4:30 PM. Swimmers should arrive at away meet locations by 4:50 PM.
  • The date and time in which swimmer competes in the JSL Championship meet is determined by age group. The final schedule for this meet will be set during the season.
