2009 and 2008 Champions - Jefferson League
The LGA held it's Spring 2010 Organizational meeting on Saturday, March 27, with about 35 ladies in attendance. As always, the breakfast buffet was delicious! Two new members were welcomed and plans for the 2010 season were discussed. Stay tuned for more details on all these events, especially the "Just Swinging" Ladies Member-Guest Tournament, to be held on Saturday, June 5. Five teams played in the 9-hole Captain's Choice that followed the meeting. The winning team was Anne Scott, Sara D. Haney, and Jane Fleming. 2nd place went to Lauren Eklund, Sue Ellen Breeden, and Cherri Lawson. Congratulations, ladies!

The Greene Hills Ladies Golf Association promotes golf and friendship for all levels of women golfers. Formed in 1973, it has over seventy members ranging in age from 14-80+! Throughout the golf season, the LGA sponsors the following events:

Ladies at Greene Hills also play in the Ladies Member-Member tournament and in the Club Championship, which are open to all women golfers at the club. Our women play competitively in the Virginia League (handicaps under 20) and the Jefferson League (handicaps over 20), both of which are match play leagues.
Joining the LGA in 2010
If you plan to join the LGA for the 2010 season, dues are $32 if paid prior to March 31, or $35 beginning April 1. By joining the LGA, you can participate in:
o Three meals (Winter social, Spring breakfast and Fall breakfast),
o Participation in the Ringer Board (the prizes are fantastic!!),
o Several other events that will be scheduled during the year, possibly including presentations by collegiate golfers, rules clinics, and wine & cheese tastings,
o LGA handbook with schedules, rules, contact information of fellow lady golfers and more, and
o Reduced entry fees into certain LGA sponsored events

LGA Spring Meeting
The LGA kicked off the 2010 golfing season with its Spring Meeting on March 27. Breakfast was served beginning at 9:00 am, followed by the business meeting and 9-Hole Captain's Choice. Not a member?
